The "Frozen Food" Section Overview

Have you ever walked through the frozen food isle at the grocery store, half amazed at the variety, and half disgusted because you're pretty sure humans were never meant to be able to prepare a full Thanksgiving meal in under 5 minutes?

We here at AiBP know that there are times when another granola bar just won't cut it and a hot, tasty meal is necessary. It's situations like this where you can come here for help in picking the perfect frozen meal for yourself.

It may not be gourmet, but we're tucking our napkins in our shirts and snapping snootily at our confused co-workers when our water needs a refill.

Lean Cuisine Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto Chicken Pasta

Looking at the four or so bites of food I have in my little, microwaveable tray, I feel a bit depressed (particularly since I've skipped breakfast and couldn't be more hungry than I am right now) so I fight the urge to fly out of the parking lot- tires screeching and all-straight to a McDonalds hamburger, and forge ahead. My first bite of cavetappi pasta is surprisingly springy for having just been nuked, and the ratio of noodles to veggies is promising. It's all a bit skimpy on the chicken, but then again, this meal is a bit skimpy on meal. Can't detect much pesto flavor, and real sun-dried tomato pieces would have made my day, but c'est la vie- this is a $2.99 frozen health food meal item, not Pierre Gagnaire. What it all comes down to is taste overall, and if I had a full plate of this, I would be a moderately happy camper. (Those are the campers who clap along with the songs around the campfire, but don't sing).
